Test Kitchen Tastings

I am obsessed with America’s Test Kitchen. Their PBS show is awesome, their recipes consistently perform the way that they should, and they do a great job of explaining the science behind food. If they were located in the Chicago area, I would doing illegal things to obtain a job in their kitchen. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I love you Christopher Kimball.

Cook’s Illustrated and America’s Test Kitchen asked their test cooks how they stay fit when constantly surrounded by food and tastings, an issue that is constantly in the back of my mind. This is a photo of our enormous, destroyed conference table after Monday afternoon’s tasting. It’s just a fact of reality – when surrounded by all of these cakes and cupcakes on a daily basis, sometimes it’s wise to skip dinner and go for a walk instead.
